Here’s how the Washington Park playground looks now — help us envision its future!
As you know, the Washington Park Conservancy (WPC), in partnership with the City of Albany, is planning a new playground for Albany’s historic Washington Park.
We need your input!! Before our playground designers begin their planning, we need to hear from our community, including youth, residents with and without children, park lovers, youth program staff, community organizations, fitness enthusiasts, and all the people who live outside the city but travel here to enjoy Albany’s historic park. There are two survey formats – an online survey that can be completed by both youth and adults, and a PDF printable survey booklet for kids. There is also a “Facilitator’s Guide” that can be printed or accessed electronically for teachers, caregivers, or program staff to use as they lead youth through completion of the survey booklet, or for anyone interested in learning more about the various types of play. Children can take either or both surveys- the PDF survey allows them to create their own playground ideas, where the online survey asks a greater variety of questions suitable for all ages
