How do YOU Play in Washington Park?
It’s Game On! at the Washington Park Conservancy! To celebrate Park and Recreation Month with the National Recreation and Park Association, we want to highlight all of the great ways to play and have fun in Washington Park this month.
Since 1985, Americans have celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote the importance of parks and recreation in health and wellness, conservation and social equity. Park and recreation services are vital for our communities — from protecting open space and natural resources, to helping fight obesity and providing activities and resources for all walks of life.
How to play in Washington Park? Let’s count the ways: tennis, skateboarding, basketball, cycling, volleyball, jogging, yoga, power walking, playground, dog frisbee….
Send us photos of how YOU play in Washington Park and we’ll share them on our Facebook and Instagram pages and our website.
Send photos to: [email protected]. And help spread the word on YOUR social networks! #GameOnJuly
